"Hi, My name is Kyra, Kay's sister. I am 8 years old. I am so happy to write a blog about the Haunted Mansion. I remember that you really feel like you are in a haunted mansion. You go through the gates, then you see busts with tombstones. There is music playing as you walk through the area to get in line. Make sure to read the tombstones, some of them are funny and some are spooky. In one area, books pop out of a bookshelf at you! You pass by a graveyard and you go into the mansion. You go into a room and they tell you to go all the way to the back. There is a photo of a skeleton on the wall, he is kind of scary. You into another room with stripes on the wall and then you meet the "ghost host". As you look around you see pictures of old people. The pictures and the wall look like they are stretching. I think that was my imagination. When they close you in that room you might notice that there are no windows and no doors!! The "ghost host" says we have to find a way out. (This might be scary for little kids.) He says "there's always my way" and then lightning strikes and you see a person hanging from the ceiling. They turn on the lights, open the doors and you find yourself in line to get on the ride. You get in your ride car which is called a "Doom Buggy" and begin your ride. You go through the mansion and see things moving, doors bending, a candle moving in the air, a casket opening, more busts that look alive, a piano playing itself, a scary clock and a floating head that talks! You go through the dining room and you see lots of dancing ghosts! You go through a room that looks like an attic and you see a scary ghost lady that glows. Then you see a bunch of flying spirits and hear a ghost song. (That might scare little kids also.)Next you go through a cemetery where you see singing busts, gravestones and more spooks. At the end of your ride, you see the hitch hiking ghosts. Be careful, you might have one in your doom buggy!! At the end of the ride, they say "hurry back", and I want to as soon as I can, I loved this ride."
I want to say thank you to my sister for her guest blog.I did ride this ride, but I scared and I even yelled because I was frightened. It is a great ride for other people, for me it was too scary.
When you walk into It's A Small world you feel like you are in a castle. You get into a boat to start your ride. You go under a bridge and into the ride area where you see dolls, singing dolls. In each section you see many countries represented. There are many dolls, it is very colorful and there is lots of singing. Be sure to look to your right, left and up, because there are many cool things to see. I love this ride, it's very friendly for kids.
And now we are on to Jungle Cruise...Be sure to read the missing person sign as you go inside, it's funny! You ride on a boat with a canopy, it's awesome. You pass by Inspiration Falls and and they make you say "ooh, aah".You see abandoned canoes, a huge snake (it's not real, but it scared me a little). The skipper man had many jokes to tell. You see gorillas messing up a campsite. The skipper said they were driving him bananas!! Too funny. There are two elephants and a limestone rock formation that "people take for granite". There is a part where lions are eating a zebra. That freaked me out, but they are not real. There were adventurers trying get away from animals by climbing a tree. We saw crocodiles, a waterfall and a plane crash! The skipper made lots of funny jokes and we even saw, the backside of water!! You go into a cave, you see a tiger with glowing eyes and statues. Then you go by the elephant bathing pool, Trader Sam with his shrunken heads, and some final funny jokes. All in all it was a fun ride to be on. I wish I could have ridden it again.
Until next time, when we cover The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan's Flight, Monster's, Inc. Laugh Floor, and a guest blog for Space Mountain.
Goodbye everyone.
Note From Mom:
The Haunted Mansion is a dark ride, and may be scary and loud for some people. We rode it several times with our baby and she slept through the whole thing every time, so it just depends on the person. Only two out of our party of twelve were scared by this ride, so I say, give it a shot.
It's A Small World is a great ride for all ages.
The Jungle Cruise is hilarious and we had a great time. Time being what it was, we only got to ride this attraction once during our visit and that was at night. Having experienced this ride in both daylight(years ago) and at night, it is equally enjoyable at any time of day.
